Foundation to Expansion
Thermosen Technologies was registered in August 2011, with production commencing in December 2011, initially focusing on temperature sensors for UPS, inverters, and vending machines to build a strong foundation in power electronics applications. In 2012, the company achieved ISO 9001 certification, secured approvals from Sukam, Exide, and Kevin, and expanded its product portfolio to include sensors for air conditioners, chillers, and PTC motor winding protection.
OEM to Railway Approvals
In 2013, Thermosen Technologies received audit and vendor approval from Schneider Electric and approval from Hitachi for AC sensors, introduced LUG temperature sensors for higher-voltage UPS and inverter applications, and supplied multiple products to APC. In 2014, the company obtained IRFCA approval and Schneider approval for 11 sensor models, and expanded into washing machine and refrigerator temperature sensors, strengthening its presence in consumer appliances.
Innovation & Capacity Growth
From 2015 to 2018, Thermosen Technologies accelerated its growth and innovation. In 2015, it partnered with PepsiCo for cold and hot vending machine sensors, supported Luminous and L&T applications including electronic circuit breakers, expanded its production area by 3,000 sq. ft., and introduced UL-approved LUG sensors. In 2016, the company achieved UL approval for LUG sensors, developed battery monitoring temperature sensors for Navsemi Technologies, and expanded its portfolio to include solar water heater sensors and RTD/PT100 sensors. In 2017, it installed new test chambers, strengthened R&D capabilities, secured Godrej approval for inverter AC and vending machine sensors, and developed sensors capable of operating up to 250°C. In 2018, Thermosen completed its Unit II expansion at Attibele dedicated to LUG sensors, registered as a Molex vendor, and developed thermistors for ISRO, including 3kVA-rated LUG thermistors and PT100 sensors with 4–20 mA transmitters.
EV Growth & Scale-Up
From 2019 to 2022, Thermosen Technologies expanded its global reach and automotive capabilities. In 2019, it began exporting sensor assemblies for BMS, received purchase orders for space-qualified thermistors from ISRO, expanded production by 4,000 sq. ft., and entered medical and electric vehicle battery sensor applications. In 2020, the company added 3,000 sq. ft. of production area, initiated in-house LUG (eyelet) manufacturing, achieved Havells qualification for air-conditioning sensors, and launched digital and surge arrester temperature sensors. In 2021, it procured 40,000 sq. ft. of land at KIADB, Mysore for future expansion and started automotive sensor product lines, supplying to SEG and Uni Automation. In 2022, Thermosen achieved IATF 16949 certification and developed clip-type, turbine winding, IC-based humidity, and IoT-enabled temperature sensors, strengthening its presence in automotive and smart systems.
R&D to Expansion
In 2023, Thermosen Technologies expanded its thermocouple product range, enhanced R&D and testing capabilities, and developed motor coil winding sensors to address advanced industrial and automotive needs. In 2024, the company commissioned an NTC chip manufacturing plant with capacity expansion at Mysore, introduced moulded sensor capabilities, and developed temperature sensors for EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) applications.
Future Roadmap
Planned development of glass-encapsulated sensors and disc-type / high-power NTC sensors, reinforcing Thermosen’s roadmap toward high-performance and specialized sensing solutions.
